The things you can't always see

This morning it was -5°C in Queenstown. The ground was covered in frost, the roads glistened with black ice, and hanging above it all was a magnificent
moon.
Like so many others, I caught myself saying, "Wow... look at the moon."
Then I smiled.
The moon hasn't suddenly appeared. It's been there every single night. Sometimes hidden by clouds. Sometimes just a sliver. Sometimes invisible to us altogether. Yet it's always there, quietly doing what it has always done.
It made me wonder how often that happens in our own lives.
We notice the spectacular moments, but overlook the constant ones.
The people who quietly love us.
The strengths we've always carried.
The small acts of kindness.
The opportunities waiting patiently.
Even hope... it doesn't disappear just because we can't see it for a while.
Perhaps today is a reminder to look beyond what's demanding your attention and notice what has been there all along.
Just because something isn't obvious doesn't mean it isn't present.
Sometimes all it takes is a different perspective... and the light to fall in the right place.
Have a beautiful day. 🌕❄️
