Like Attracts Like: The Energy You Create Within
We often hear the phrase, "Like attracts like." Some dismiss it as wishful thinking, while others believe it is the secret to creating the life they want. I think the truth sits somewhere in the middle.
For me, it isn't about magically attracting success, money, or happiness simply by thinking about them. It's about alignment.
When you spend time doing things that genuinely satisfy you, challenge you, inspire you, or bring you joy, something changes within you. You begin to experience a quiet sense of validation that doesn't rely on someone else's approval. Instead of constantly searching for external recognition, you feel grounded in who you are.
That internal validation is powerful.
When you know your values, understand your purpose, and make decisions that reflect them, you naturally carry yourself differently. You become more confident, more authentic, and more open to opportunities that fit the life you're trying to build.
People notice.
Not because you've become someone different, but because you're finally becoming more of yourself.
Think about the people who leave you feeling energised. Chances are they are passionate about what they do. They speak with purpose. They have enthusiasm that's contagious. Their energy invites conversation, collaboration, and connection.
The same is true for us.
When we're living in alignment with what matters most, we're more likely to notice opportunities, build meaningful relationships, and say yes to experiences that move us forward. It's not magic. It's awareness.
On the other hand, when we're exhausted, disconnected from our values, or constantly seeking approval from others, we often find ourselves focusing on what's missing. Our attention narrows, our confidence fades, and we can unintentionally overlook the very opportunities we've been hoping for.
So rather than asking, "How do I attract more?" perhaps a better question is:
"How can I create more of the feelings I want to experience today?"
Maybe that's spending time in nature.
Maybe it's moving your body.
Maybe it's having a meaningful conversation, helping someone else, learning a new skill, or simply giving yourself permission to rest.
These moments fill your cup from the inside out.
The more connected you become to yourself, the more naturally you create a life that reflects who you are. Not because the universe owes you anything, but because you're making choices that are consistent with your values, your strengths, and your purpose.
Like attracts like because what you consistently think about, focus on, and act upon shapes the world you create around you.
So choose what energises you.
Choose what aligns with your values.
Choose what makes you feel alive.
Because when your inner world is full of purpose, gratitude, and authenticity, you'll often find that your outer world begins to reflect it too.
